Academic Background

Short Bio

Mr. Swarup Saha is a lecturer at Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka since January 2017. His areas of specialization include Digital Marketing, Strategic Brand Management, and Marketing Management. Swarup worked with all the faculty members of the institute to lead and coordinate a 3-day workshop on ‘Curriculum Development of IBA’, resulting in the updated brochure and curriculum for the BBA, MBA, and EMBA programs of the institute. He Completed his BBA with major in Marketing and MBA with Major in Finance. He received ‘Prime Minister Gold Medal Award’ from ‘University Grants Commission of Bangladesh’ for securing highest CGPA in the ‘School of Management & Business Administration’ of SUST in BBA and Gold Medal from IBA for being Valedictorian in graduating MBA class. In 2021, Swarup completed his Master’s in Marketing Analytics with Fulbright scholarship from the USA. In that program, for his outstanding project on Predictive Analytics, he earned the 1st prize in the ‘4th Annual Business Analytics Competition’ arranged by the ‘School of Management’ of Clark University.
Before joining academia, Swarup completed the Financial Management Program (FMP) at General Electric (GE) International Inc. and later worked there as the Commercial Finance Manager. In different roles, he successfully completed both local and international assignments, explored and developed new markets for GE, directly worked with senior GE leaders both at home and abroad, and attended conferences and leadership trainings in India, China & the USA.
